There are requests all the time from reps and parents to offer classes for young adults and kids so we put it together. I am SO EXCITED to finally be able to share what I’ve experienced in casting and taught over the years with our young talent!

TEEN & YOUTH CLASSES

SUNDAY, MAY 19 thru June 30

(no class Memorial weekend)

TEEN CLASS (12-16) 10:30am-1:00pm

YOUTH CLASS (7-12) 1:30pm-3:30pm

TEEN CLASS – 12 yrs to 16 yrs, 10:30am-1:00pm

Our TEEN CLASS focuses on preparation for set and audition for film and television. We’ll explore analysis and technique for scene work through creative writing, objectives, mock auditions and cold reading. We’ll harness the power of imagination through improvisation and build strong, specific and meaningful characters. Learning within a safe, spirited and supportive network of their peers, our teens continue to grow confidently and contribute as artists and young adults.

YOUTH CLASS – 7 yrs to 12 yrs, 1:30pm-3:30pm

Our YOUTH CLASS focuses on our young actors innate sense of PLAY creating truthful performances through improvisation, cold reading, and character work. This class encourages FUN and creative work while ensuring confident, secure, relaxed and prepared actors for their professional work on any set.

It is geared for the trained actor who wants to take his/her recognized and strong work to the next level. Each week we focus on distinct challenges with text, audition room situations, and your business as an artist using group collaboration and individualized guidance to overcome & master these challenges. The 8th Annual CBS Diversity Showcase is here! We’ve spent 3 months of collaboration with terrific talent and writers helmed by our fierce director, Rick Najera and the extraordinary Fern Orenstein, VP of Casting at CBS Network. We can’t wait to share our funny!

Through the incredible efforts of CBS Casting Vice President Fern Orenstein and Rick Najera, outstanding talent from coast to coast has been identified and an impressive 80 actors’ careers have been launched as series regulars or in recurring roles. Our next showcase promises to be another platform for introducing diverse talent and impacting the industry,” Josie Thomas, CBS Senior Vice President and Chief Diversity Officer.

One of the many wonderful volunteers who made our day clip along easily. I met Sienna when I was a guest teacher at Occidental. All grown up with a clear focus and thriving as an actor and voice over artist, Sienna was the best gatekeeper a gal could ever want!

Meeting many actors and answering lots of questions. Insightful day!
